Problem

Paid checkout needs two consumer-law pieces that do not exist yet.

  1. Withdrawal function. Directive (EU) 2023/2673, in Swedish law as 2 kap. 10 a § lagen (2005:59) from 19 June 2026, requires a withdrawal function on the website when the contract is concluded online. It must be easy to find and stay available for the whole 14-day withdrawal period. The updated Terms (#254) already refer to it.
  2. Consent to start at once. A proportional charge on withdrawal (2 kap. 15 §) is only allowed if the consumer explicitly asked the service to start during the withdrawal period. Checkout must record that request.

Done when

  • A signed-in consumer can withdraw from the account page for 14 days after purchase, gets an email receipt with the date and time, and the withdrawal reaches the billing service.
  • Checkout asks for, and stores, the explicit request to start the service at once, with a timestamp.
  • Both are in place before paid checkout is switched on.
