Part of the Open registration epic (bitborg-docs#27; milestone "Open registration").

Remove the invite field + claim/release logic from the signup form and POST /api/signup; retire admin invite issuance (api/invites.ts, account-panel section, panel.invites.* strings). Keep invite_codes table (audit, no migration).
Wire a REAL SIGNUPS_OPEN kill switch (src/lib/signup-access.ts): closed → /signup redirects home, API 404s, CTAs hidden. The old design's switch was never wired into the rebuilt Kanidm flow.
Reword signup intro to participant framing (sv/en; never "free tier").
